voted to expand its membership to include South Carolina and change the name

July 1, 2004, the practice of Geodetic, Photogrammetric and
Geographic Information System (GIS) Surveying, as defined in the South
Carolina Code of Laws and Regulations, will require a license in South

Strategic
Plan for Statewide GIS Technology Coordination in South Carolina
has been Finalized! Prepared under the direction of the South Carolina Standing Committee for Geographic Information
(CGI), its purpose is to provide direction and focus for improved GIS coordination and expanded use of GIS technology in
the State. This Strategic Plan follows a detailed GIS Needs Assessment and successful coordination work carried out by CGI since its
